Clitheroe Market Bid Win

17 December 2015
clitheroe-market-bid-winDAY Architectural are delighted to announce our success as part of the bid team for the Redevelopment of Clitheroe Market, working in partnership with Barnfield Construction. After a rigorous interview process, our 'Market Quarter' was selected which includes a 60-room hotel, restaurant and cafĂ©, 7-retail units, 67-space car park, extensive landscaping works and a new contemporary market hall.   The two year scheme is set to bring a new lease of life to the market square and the potential for attracting top new retailers.   Our proposed masterplan creates regeneration within the heart of the town, and looks to connect and link with the surrounding historical street patterns.   Detailed plans for the scheme will be unveiled in the New Year and, subject to planning approval, Phase 1 involving the construction of the new market is scheduled to be completed by February 2017, with Phase 2 involving the remainder of the site by April 2018.   DAY look forward to working with Barnfield Construction and The Ribble Valley Borough Council, on this exciting development, which further adds to DAY's portfolio for town centre regeneration projects.
