St James Point Phase 1, Newcastle

 

The scheme was approved by the Local Planning Authority within eight weeks and includes a resident's amenity courtyard and common room which has 24hr security and management facilities. DAY originally identified the site as a potential student accommodation location bringing in a Developer and Operator showing a proactive and integrated approach that Clients appreciate.

 

DAY Architectural completed St. James' Point, Newcastle back in August 2014; A £9.5 Million, 216 studio apartments scheme complete with ancillary accommodation in time for the September 2014 Student intake and sits opposite Newcastle United's St. James' Park, hence the namesake.

 

The project was delivered on budget and on programme alongside Shepherd Construction Ltd.

The 11 storey building is finished in a mixture of aluminium cladding with a galvanised mesh system over
clad on the North & East elevations, the development also features a secure enclosed courtyard area with seating and both hard & soft landscaping.

 

DAY Architectural are currently on with Phase 2, next door, which will accommodate a further 203 bedrooms, albeit this time by means of both Cluster bedrooms and Studios. All ready for a completion date of August 2015.
