In order to enable future site development, DAY were commissioned by the trust to relocate their existing Vacuum Insulated Evaporators (V.I.E) compound. Working closely with the trust and BOC Healthcare to carefully position the Liquid Oxygen containers as well as create additional medical gas storage. The main challenge was designing a fully accessible vehicular compound that was in keeping with the newly built Theatres on the adjacent site, whilst providing a fully HTM 02-01 Compliant facility.

In order to complement the design, we created several living walls along the perimeter of the hospital site. This prevented V.I.E compound being visible to any passing traffic along Stott Road.
