Learning Gateway Building, Glyndwr University, Wrexham
New build Learning Gateway Building incorporating new Student Union and Refectory.
This project forms the centre piece of the University's Campus 2025 proposals to totally transform their existing Campus through a series of individual existing building refurbishments combined with two contemporary new build facilities. The new Learning Gateway Building sits at the heart of the Campus adjoining the main Listed Building and replaces the demolished Student Union Building and Refectory plus creating a spectacular double height entrance into the University. Extensive public realm works are planned around the new building linking it to the established central University landscaped courtyard quadrant in addition to creating better internal cycle and pedestrian connectivity.
