Concept development for an overhaul of Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s ED.
Feasibility study and concept design to consider a new extension for Sheffield Children’s Hospital emergency department. Overlooking Weston Park The proposal looks to accommodate increased ED footprint at ground level, with additional floor space available above for oncology and in-patient ward accommodation. The project will also involve a multi-phased re-development and re-organisation of the emergency department to support enhanced pathways and reduce waiting times within the ED. The enhanced ED will also link into the newly developed rooftop heliport for trauma / HEMS patient transfers.
